Jeffrey Gusenoff, MD
Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff is a Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is originally from Newton, Massachusetts and completed both his undergraduate and medical degrees at the Johns Hopkins University. He then completed his surgical internship and plastic surgical residency at the University of Rochester, in Rochester NY. After his formal training, Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff elected to complete a fellowship in Life After Weight Loss surgery and body contouring at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA. Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff was the founder and Director of the University of Rochester Medical Center Life After Weight Loss Program from 2008-2012. The multidisciplinary program aimed to meet the body contouring needs of patients who have changed their lives through significant weight loss. He was then recruited by UPMC to join the Department of Plastic Surgery as Co-Director of the Life After Weight Loss Program with Dr. J. Peter Rubin. Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff has won numerous academic awards and written several peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, mostly related to body contouring surgical techniques, safety, and social issues. Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff is also involved in several clinical research projects at the UPMC. He is the Director of the Fellowship in Post-Bariatric Body Contouring and Co-Director of the BodyChangers program, which is a support group to aid in weight loss maintenance. Dr. Jeffrey Gusenoff is the Principal Investigator for several studies investigating the effectiveness of fat grafting to the foot for plantar fat pad atrophy. Beth Gusenoff, DPM
Dr. Beth Gusenoff, DPM is an award-winning Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her undergraduate at Union College in 1994 and podiatry school at Temple University School of Medicine and Podiatry in 1998. Her residency in Podiatric surgery was at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ and she graduated in 2000. She became a partner at Westside Podiatry Group in Rochester, NY and worked in that practice for 12 years, 2000-2012. From 2012-2015 she worked as an associate at the Tatar Podiatry Group in Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Beth Gusenoff is a collaborator and co-investigator on the clinical trials for fat grafting to the foot in healthy adults and diabetics; she is responsible for the collection of information assessing the research study eligibility criteria and consenting process, research study procedures, overall protection of human subject risks and benefits, performance of clinical trial conduct and compliance maintaining good clinical practices.
